XXXTentacion – Skins (2018)
Released as the first posthumous studio album following the tragic passing of the influential SoundCloud-era icon, Skins serves as a brief, intense window into the artist's final creative headspace. As a pivotal figure in the modern hip-hop landscape, this project captures the raw, experimental energy XXXTentacion was cultivating before his untimely death.
At just 19 minutes in length, the album is a concise collection that highlights the genre-bending aesthetic that defined his career. While the project has been a subject of intense debate among critics and fans regarding its structural completion and posthumous assembly, it remains a significant cultural artifact for those documenting his complex legacy.
