The Weeknd invites you to experience Dawn FM, his critically acclaimed fifth studio album. Released in 2022 via XO and Republic Records, this limited edition CD captures the artist in a state of creative evolution, delivering what critics call a "perfect rendering" of 1980s-inspired synth-pop, techno two-step, and new wave.
Conceptually designed as a radio broadcast through purgatory, the album features an eclectic cast of contributors. Production is helmed by Max Martin, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Oscar Holter, with guest appearances by Tyler, the Creator and Lil Wayne, alongside narration by Jim Carrey and Quincy Jones. Dawn FM serves as the second installment in a career-defining trilogy, bridging the gap between 2020’s After Hours and 2025's Hurry Up Tomorrow.
Key Highlights & Tracks:- "Take My Breath": A standout single featuring a thumping baseline and addictive groove.
- "Out of Time": A soulful diversion into 80s R&B that showcases Abel Tesfaye’s vocal growth.
- "Less Than Zero": A climactic synth-pop centerpiece that serves as a culmination of his dynamic new sound.
- "Sacrifice": A masterfully produced track brimming with high-energy electronic influence.
Whether you are a fan of his nostalgic synth symphonies or his mellow R&B cuts, this Limited Edition CD is a vital addition to any collection, marking a sophisticated turning point for one of pop music’s most innovative voices.
