CD Tangerine Dream – Tangines Scales

Tangerine Dream - Tangines Scales is a compelling 2010 CD compilation that offers a deep dive into the rare, lesser-known recordings of the legendary electronic pioneers. Originally assembled for the limited-run Documents set, this reissue has been meticulously remastered and partially mixed to provide a more cohesive and immersive listening experience for fans and collectors alike.

The collection showcases the evolution of Edgar Froese’s signature sequencer textures while preserving the band’s iconic atmospheric synth-rock edge. Thanks to the updated mastering, listeners will enjoy enhanced low-end definition and the warm, analog character essential to Tangerine Dream’s mid-70s and 80s soundscapes.

Featured Highlights:

• "House of the Rising Sun (Southend mix)": A lush, instrumental rendition of the classic track that opens the disc.
• "Livemiles (Morning Glow mix)": An extended nine-minute journey featuring the work of Froese, Christopher Franke, and Paul Haslinger.
• "Storm Seekers / Cool Shibuya": A twin-track suite that perfectly captures the band’s ability to blend cinematic tension with electronic innovation.

Whether you are a completist or a newcomer to the Documents series, Tangines Scales serves as a valuable historical artifact from one of the most influential groups in electronic music history.
