Capture a quintessential moment in 90s Britpop with this original 1997 Parlophone CD single of "Richard III" by Supergrass. Released during the era that produced their acclaimed sophomore album, In It For The Money, this single showcases the band’s signature hyperactive energy and masterful songwriting.
The title track, "Richard III," is a masterclass in controlled chaos—a "magnificently manic" anthem featuring Stooges-inspired stomping rhythms, furious guitar work, and an unexpected, iconic Theremin solo. This release highlights the creative evolution of Gaz Coombes and the band as they moved from the raw power of their debut to the nuanced, adventurous production of their mid-90s peak.
