Experience one of the most influential records in music history with this remastered CD edition of Stevie Wonder’s Innervisions. Released in 1973, this landmark album sits at the heart of Wonder's storied "classic period," marking his transition into a mature, socially conscious artist with unparalleled vision.
Innervisions is an innovative, masterful fusion of funk, gospel, and soul. It explores a complex sonic palette, notable for Wonder’s pioneering use of synthesizers and effects units—such as the Mu-Tron Envelope Filter—which helped define its unique, textured sound. Lyrically, the album balances optimism with a stark, honest look at the world, ranging from the city-life struggles in "Living for the City" to the spiritual search for "Higher Ground."
