Experience a monumental collaboration in ambient music. Originally recorded by long-time friends and innovators Steve Roach and Loren Nerell, Terraform is a masterclass in organic, surreal soundscapes. Born from a creative partnership dating back to 1982, this album represents the perfect fusion of two masters of the genre, structured and mixed at Roach’s legendary Timeroom studio.
While originally released in 2006 as a limited edition, this 2009 Projekt reissue brings the immersive experience to a wider audience in a classic jewel case format. The album is celebrated for its "real-time" immediacy, eschewing clinical computer production for a living, breathing sound that feels both prehistoric and futuristic.
Across four expansive tracks, Terraform invites listeners into a deep, meditative environment. From the liquid depths of the opening track to the massive, half-hour "Texture Wall," this is essential listening for fans of deep-listening drones and ethno-ambient textures.
