Experience a foundational piece of electronic music history with the Mezzotinto EP by St Germain-en-Laye.
Released in May 1994, this seminal EP marked the second entry (F002) in the legendary F Communications catalog. Produced by the visionary Ludovic Navarre—better known simply as St Germain—this release was a cornerstone of the burgeoning French electronic scene, famously promoted under the label's "After 'E' Comes 'F'" slogan.
The Mezzotinto EP is a masterclass in genre-blending, pushing the boundaries of the dance floor by flooding five tracks with a sophisticated mix of:
- House
- Jazz
- Soul
- R&B
Critics at the time of release highlighted the EP's versatility, noting "Walk So Lonely" and "My Mama Said" as the standout, radio-friendly cuts. Whether you are a collector of classic deep house or a fan of Navarre’s later masterpiece Boulevard, this Maxi CD is an essential artifact from the golden era of French touch.
