French collective Nouvelle Vague returns with their acclaimed third studio album, 3 (also known as NV3), released in 2009 on Peacefrog Records. Masterminds Collin and Libaux continue their sublimely inventive project, transforming iconic post-punk and new wave classics from the 1970s and 1980s into lush, eclectic arrangements spanning bossa nova, ska, and sultry torch-style ballads.
Expanding on their signature sound, 3 introduces collaborative duets that pair the original tracks' lead vocalists with Nouvelle Vague’s distinct female singers, breathing new life into timeless indie and alternative standards.
