Experience a psychedelic revival with Jefferson Starship as they pay tribute to their legendary roots in this unique live performance. Captured at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in California on June 12, 2009, this release features the band performing the iconic "Jefferson Airplane @ Woodstock" set in its entirety.
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the summer of '69, this album bridges the generations of the "San Francisco Sound." As the successor to Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship brings a seasoned expertise to the classic repertoire that defined an era. This collection serves as a powerful homage to the band’s historical performance at the original Woodstock festival, where they stood alongside titans like Santana, The Who, and Jimi Hendrix.
Relive the hits that shaped music history, including:
- "White Rabbit" – The quintessential psychedelic anthem.
- "Somebody to Love" – The high-energy classic that defined the Summer of Love.
Released on Bear Records, this CD is a must-have for collectors and fans of 1960s counter-culture and 1970s arena rock alike. It is a rare opportunity to hear these timeless tracks performed live by the torchbearers of the Jefferson legacy in a vibrant, outdoor Southern California setting.
