CD Ben Harper – Winter Is For Lovers

Three-time Grammy winner Ben Harper strips away all accompaniment and vocals for Winter Is For Lovers, his 13th solo release and debut fully instrumental album, released via ANTI- Records in 2020. Described as a "lap-steel symphony," this album is a masterclass in acoustic musicianship, featuring Harper and his signature lap-steel guitar and nothing else.

Conceived as a seamless, continuous body of work, the album takes listeners on an evocative virtual world tour. Each track is titled after a geographic location that provided Harper with deep musical and personal inspiration throughout his life and career.

Key Highlights:

• "Inland Empire" – A track rich with longing, named after Harper's birthplace and his lifelong bond with the lap steel.
• "London" – A piece inspired by legendary English players such as Jimmy Page, John Martyn, and Richard Thompson.
• "Islip" – A tuneful, pastoral acoustic composition.
• "Paris" – A magnificent closing track evoking the relaxed feeling of a walk through a Parisian park on a beautiful day.

Tuneful, evocative, and quietly relaxing, Winter Is For Lovers on CD is an essential release for Ben Harper collectors and acoustic guitar enthusiasts alike.
