Released in 2019 via Geffen Records, The Underrated Youth marks a powerful evolution for British alt-rock artist YUNGBLUD. Stepping into a versatile new era, this EP balances angsty, high-energy rock with an underlying message of hope, honesty, and optimism.
Spanning experimental alt-rock, stadium-sized hooks, and stripped-back moments, key highlights across the release include:
- "braindead!" – A heavy, experimental opening track driven by thrashing guitars and fierce energy.
- "Parents" – The explosive, fan-favorite single packed with quintessential YUNGBLUD attitude.
- "original me" – A soaring, arena-ready anthem designed for big stages.
- "casual sabotage" – An emotionally raw cut featuring 90s-inspired alternative rock angst.
- "waiting for the weekend" – An intimate acoustic closing track that showcases the songwriter's softer, reflective side.
Available on CD (EP, Stereo), The Underrated Youth is an essential release for fans of modern indie, alternative, and contemporary rock.
