Experience the definitive masterpiece of alternative rock: The Cure’s 1989 classic, Disintegration.
Widely regarded as Robert Smith’s magnum opus, Disintegration captures the band at their creative peak. This immersive, epic journey balances deep melancholy with romantic grandeur, offering a soundscape that is both intensely emotional and "womblike." Whether you connect with the dark, moody atmosphere of "Fascination Street" or the sublime pop sincerity of the hit "Lovesong," this album remains a cornerstone of the genre.
This 2010 Deluxe Edition, personally remastered by Robert Smith at Hookend Manor Studios, offers the ultimate listening experience. Beyond the original album, this comprehensive set delves into the creative process of the era with a wealth of bonus material.
This Deluxe Edition features:
- Disc 1: The original, remastered studio album.
- Disc 2: A curation of 20 rarities from 1988–1989, including home demos, band rehearsals, and studio roughs.
- Disc 3: The expanded 1990 live album Entreat, featuring previously unreleased performances from Wembley Arena (1989), remixed in 2009.
Perfect for long-time fans and new listeners alike, this release reinforces why Disintegration continues to be cited as an essential touchstone in rock history.
