Static-X – Start A War (2005) represents a definitive "return to form" for the industrial metal legends. Moving away from the softer accessibility of their previous outing, Start A War delivers the aggressive, high-octane energy that fans first fell in love with on Wisconsin Death Trip.
Produced by Ulrich Wild and released via Warner Bros. Records, this fourth studio album showcases the band's evolution, featuring tighter guitar work—including the addition of searing solos—and Wayne Static’s most refined vocal performance to date, blending his signature guttural screams with polished clean melodies.
Key Highlights:
- Aggressive Sound: A heavier, faster, and more industrial-driven direction.
- Dynamic Lineup: Featuring Wayne Static, Tony Campos, Nick Oshiro, and the return of Koichi Fukuda.
- Standout Tracks: Includes fan-favorites such as "The Enemy," "I’m The One," "Dirthouse," and the humor-infused "I Want To Fucking Break It."
Whether you are a longtime follower or discovering the "Evil Disco" sound for the first time, Start A War is an essential, hard-hitting addition to any nu-metal collection.
