Released on November 22, 2010, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys is the bold fourth studio album by My Chemical Romance. Serving as the follow-up to their 2006 magnum opus The Black Parade, the album showcases an exhilarating shift in the band's aesthetic and sound.
Produced by the band alongside Rob Cavallo, the record swaps out gothic pomp for high-octane metallic power pop, alternative rock, and pop punk. Drawing creative cues from 1960s and 1970s proto-punk and psychedelic rock, the album delivers a vibrant, streamlined energy while maintaining the group's unmistakable emo and rock-and-roll core. Danger Days also stands as a pivotal milestone in the band's catalog, serving as their final full-length studio album prior to their six-year hiatus from 2013 to 2019.
