Klaus Schulze – Ballett 4 (Revisited Records / SPV GmbH, 2007) is the fourth and final installment in the pioneering electronic composer's acclaimed ballet series. Originally released in 2000 as part of the Contemporary Works I boxed set, this moving work was composed and dedicated to Schulze's mother following her passing in 1998.
Showcasing Schulze's mastery of blending digital electronics with acoustic elements, the album delivers expansive, slow, and hypnotic soundscapes. Longtime collaborator Wolfgang Tiepold (cello) and multi-instrumentalist Thomas Kagermann (flute, vocals, violin) bring a rich, analog warmth that seamlessly complements Schulze’s intricate synth arrangements.
- Release Type: 2007 CD Reissue (originally from the 2000 Contemporary Works I set)
- Featured Musicians: Wolfgang Tiepold (cello) and Thomas Kagermann (flute, vocals, violin)
- Bonus Content: Includes the rare bonus track "Eleven 2 Eleven," originally issued on the promotional companion disc to Contemporary Works I
