Native Tongues hip-hop legends Jungle Brothers deliver a high-energy, dancefloor-ready experience with their fifth studio album, V.I.P., released on Gee Street / V2 Records. Produced primarily by Alex Gifford of Propellerheads, the album crafts an eclectic fusion of progressive electronic grooves and the duo’s signature organic rhyme style.
Praised by AllMusic as "fun, funky, and infectious -- a party record where everyone sounds like they're having a blast," V.I.P. expands the group's sonic boundaries with guest appearances from the Black Eyed Peas, The Holmes Brothers, and Sense Live.
Key Highlights & Standout Singles:
- "V.I.P." – The infectious, driving title track and UK Top 30 single.
- "Get Down" – An upbeat, crossover club favorite.
- "Freakin' You" – A standout chart single highlighting the record's groove-heavy production.
- "Down With the JBeez" and "JBeez Rock the Dancehall"
An essential pickup for collectors of late-90s alternative hip-hop and electronic breakbeat crossovers.
