Released in 2016 via Joyful Noise Recordings, Command Your Weather marks the ferocious fifth studio album from heavy rock powerhouse Big Business. Returning to their core two-piece lineup consisting of Jared Warren (bass, vocals) and Coady Willis (drums)—both celebrated for their long-running collaboration with the Melvins—the duo crafts a surprisingly massive, symphonic soundscape from a stripped-down setup.
Spanning nine tracks and 38 minutes, the album offers the duo's most consistent balance of crushing heaviness and undeniable hooks. Evading simple genre tags, Command Your Weather weaves seamlessly through sludge, stoner rock, psychedelia, and melodic power pop, powered by Willis' busy, driving percussion and Warren's signature burly bass tones and surly vocal harmonies.
- Standout Highlights: Includes the thick, driving groove of "Father's Day" and the funeral doom-lurching closer, "Horses."
- Format: Compact Disc (CD), Album, Stereo.
- Label: Joyful Noise Recordings (2016).
- Personnel: Jared Warren (bass/vocals) and Coady Willis (drums).
