CD Big | Brave* – A Gaze Among Them

Released in 2019 on Southern Lord Records, A Gaze Among Them by experimental trio BIG|BRAVE delivers a powerful exploration of drone metal that balances brute force with striking vulnerability. Across a focused 39-minute runtime, the album pairs crystal-clear production with massive, repetitive chord progressions and textured sonic weight.

The record is defined by Robin Wattie’s captivating, siren-like vocals that hover weightlessly above crushing walls of sound, jazz-inspired percussion, and resonant guitar feedback.

Featured Tracks:

• "Holding Pattern" – Ethereal, floating vocals emerge from a dense, drone-laden foundation.
• "Body Individual" – A dynamic piece evolving from ambient textures into a crescendo of percussion and feedback.
• "Sibling" – A devastating closing track driven by relentless, crashing waves of sludge guitar.

A must-have CD for listeners of drone, sludge, and forward-thinking heavy music.
