Step into the world of Middle-earth with Where The Shadows Lie, the explosive 2002 debut studio album from Finnish metal pioneers, Battlelore.
Formed in 1999, Battlelore carved out a unique niche in the metal scene by blending heavy, thrash-influenced guitar riffs with epic, fantasy-driven lyrical themes inspired by the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. This album marks the initial chapter of the band's legendary journey, showcasing their signature dual-vocal approach that balances aggressive male growls with soaring melodic sensibilities.
As the foundation of the band’s career, Where The Shadows Lie captures the raw, theatrical energy that defines their live performances and elaborate stage personas. Whether you are a fan of power metal or atmospheric, epic heavy metal, this release offers an immersive listening experience that bridges the gap between folklore and extreme music.
