Following up their record-breaking debut, Arctic Monkeys returned in 2007 with their critically acclaimed sophomore studio album, Favourite Worst Nightmare. Released via Domino, the record marked the arrival of new bassist Nick O'Malley and production work by James Ford and Mike Crossey, establishing the Sheffield quartet as undeniable powerhouses in indie rock and post-punk revival.
The album showcases a bold musical progression, driven by frontman Alex Turner’s razor-sharp lyricism, Jamie Cook's piercing guitar melodies, and Matt Helders' gripping, high-tempo drumming. Moving seamlessly between ferocious pace and poignant depth, the record features instant classics such as lead single "Brianstorm," the melodic fan-favorite "Fluorescent Adolescent," "Teddy Picker," and the dramatic crescendo of "Do Me a Favour."
