Holy Hell is the landmark eighth studio album by British metalcore titans Architects, released via Epitaph Records. Standing as their first record following the tragic passing of founding guitarist and principal songwriter Tom Searle, the album is a monumentally powerful, cathartic exploration of grief, resilience, and musical evolution.
Produced by Dan Searle and Josh Middleton, Holy Hell blends ferocious progressive metalcore with expansive atmospheric synths, intricate technical guitar work, and emotive string arrangements. Frontman Sam Carter delivers a breathtaking, throat-shredding vocal performance, driving home the emotional weight of one of the most personal heavy music releases of its era.
Album Highlights:
- Features standout singles including "Doomsday" (co-written by Tom Searle), "Hereafter", "Royal Beggars", and "Modern Misery".
- Includes fan-favorite deep cuts like the string-infused opener "Death is Not Defeat", the blisteringly heavy "The Seventh Circle", and the climactic closer "A Wasted Hymn".
- A critically acclaimed masterpiece that bridges an emotional farewell with a fierce new chapter for the band.
