Experience the landmark 1987 self-titled debut from smooth jazz pioneer Walter Beasley on Polydor Records. Bursting onto the contemporary jazz and R&B scene, Beasley established himself as a dynamic triple threat—showcasing his immense talents as a soulful lead vocalist, gifted songwriter, and virtuoso saxophonist.
Drawing deep inspiration from icons like Grover Washington, Jr., Beasley seamlessly blended lush R&B production with jazz sophistication to create a signature crossover sound. The album is highlighted by the standout opening cut, "I'm So Happy," which pairs Beasley’s warm vocals and soaring alto saxophone with crisp synthesizers, infectious rhythm loops, and standout guitar work from Freddie Fox.
