Step back into the height of the New Wave era with this comprehensive reissue of Ultravox’s seminal work. As pioneers of the early 80s synth-pop movement, Ultravox combined the "motorik" drive of Krautrock with the lush, melodramatic romanticism of Roxy Music. This 2018 remastered edition from Chrysalis captures the band at their creative peak, following the era-defining arrival of frontman Midge Ure.
This release serves as a definitive look at the band's golden era, featuring high-quality remasters that offer a clearer, more vibrant listening experience than ever before. Fans and collectors will appreciate the deep dive into the band's studio process, including:
- Remastered Hits: Crystal-clear versions of iconic chart-toppers.
- Rarities & Demos: High-quality alternate versions and elusive B-sides that showcase the band's evolution.
- Creative Remixes: Highlights include revitalized versions of tracks like "Same Old Story" and the pulsating energy of "Love’s Great Adventure."
- Historical Context: Experience the sound that influenced legends like Gary Numan and paved the way for contemporaries like Duran Duran and Simple Minds.
Whether you are a longtime devotee or a newcomer to the New Romantic movement, this multi-disc compilation is an essential addition to any electronic music library, proving why Ultravox remains a cornerstone of 20th-century British pop.
