Experience one of the most infamous and satirical entries in Type O Negative’s catalog with The Origin Of The Feces. Sitting in the discography between Slow, Deep and Hard and Bloody Kisses, this release captures the Brooklyn outfit's raw fusion of hardcore, heavy metal, and biting dark humor.
Framed as a chaotic live show at Brighton Beach on Halloween, the album is actually a staged studio performance featuring overdubbed crowd noise and entertaining banter between the band and the audience. Most tracks rework material from their debut, while the release also marks the introduction of Peter Steele’s signature "vampire" vocal style and includes "Hey Pete," a dark, ax-murderer rewrite of the classic "Hey Joe."
