Released by Esoteric Reactive in 2016, this 4CD clamshell box set captures the German pioneers during a crucial transition from their classic 1970s improvisational style to the refined synth-landscapes of the early 1980s.
This volume features two legendary, historically significant performances remastered from the best available sources:
- Palais Des Congrès, Paris (March 1978): A sprawling, two-set performance featuring the Cyclone-era lineup of Edgar Froese, Christopher Franke, Steve Jolliffe, and Klaus Krüger. This concert is renowned for its ambitious, 45-minute improvisations.
- Palast Der Republik, East Berlin (January 1980): A groundbreaking performance marking the band's adaptation into the new decade, showcasing their evolving sonic identity.
Housed in a sturdy clamshell box, this set is essential for the "Virgin Years" connoisseur.
