Experience Pink Floyd's monumental masterpiece reimagined on a grand scale with Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here Symphonic. Released on CD in 2016, this symphonic rock tribute is masterminded by producer Pete Smith with lush arrangements conducted by Peter Scholes and performed by The London Orion Orchestra.
Merging symphonic beauty with classic rock power, the recording brings together an exceptional lineup of guest collaborators, including rock legend Alice Cooper, keyboard maestro Rick Wakeman, and guitarists Dave Fowler and Stephen McElroy.
Album Highlights:
- "Wish You Were Here": Features a unique vocal performance by Alice Cooper and Rick Wakeman, alongside a dedicated instrumental arrangement.
- "Welcome to the Machine": Alice Cooper delivers a dramatic vocal style that captures the track's bleak, industrial disaffection.
- "Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pt. I-V": A sweeping, ethereal orchestral interpretation that elevates the iconic guitar and piano melodies.
- "Have a Cigar": An exhilarating blend of soaring symphonic layers and ascending electric guitar work.
A must-have for Pink Floyd fans and classical crossover collectors looking to experience these timeless tracks with full orchestral sweep and scale.
