HIM – And Love Said No: The Greatest Hits 1997–2004
Celebrate the dark, romantic evolution of Finnish icons HIM with And Love Said No: The Greatest Hits 1997–2004. Released in 2004, this essential compilation bridges the gap between the band's groundbreaking early work and their rise to international prominence, capturing the essence of their signature “Love Metal” sound.
Spanning 67 minutes, this collection dives deep into the band's blend of gothic metal, rock, and hard-hitting alternative anthems. Beyond the classics, fans are treated to two exclusive new tracks: the title song “And Love Said No” and a haunting rendition of Neil Diamond’s “Solitary Man,” both produced by Tim Palmer.
Key Features:
- Comprehensive Collection: A definitive look at the band's first four studio albums.
- Exclusive Content: Features new studio recordings and, on select versions, a bonus DVD capturing a raw, high-energy live performance at the Semifinal Club in Helsinki.
- Acclaimed Sound: Highly rated by critics, including AllMusic, for delivering the definitive HIM experience.
Whether you are a long-time member of the Heartagram legion or a newcomer discovering the depth of Ville Valo’s songwriting, this release is an essential addition to any collection of 2000s rock history.
