Released on April 10, 1990, In Ogni Senso (In Every Sense) is the definitive fifth studio album by Italian pop-rock sensation Eros Ramazzotti. Produced by Piero Cassano and released under the BMG/DDD label, this album marked Ramazzotti’s major international breakthrough, topping the charts in Italy and reaching the top tier of the European music market.
Recorded at legendary locations including Abbey Road Studios in London and Fonoprint in Bologna, the album features a polished, adult contemporary sound. The production values are elevated by world-class backing vocals from renowned session singers such as Jimmy Helms, Katie Kissoon, and Tessa Niles. The release was so highly anticipated that its launch in Venice attracted over 200 international journalists, eventually leading Ramazzotti to become the first Italian artist to sell out New York’s Radio City Music Hall.
Key Highlights:
- Lead Single: Includes the massive European hit "Se Bastasse Una Canzone."
- Commercial Success: Certified Platinum in Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
- Genre: A sophisticated blend of Italian pop and rock with slick, melodic arrangements.
- Collaborations: Features vocals by Antonella Bucci and arrangements by Celso Valli and Maurizio Bassi.
This reissue preserves the lush, ballad-heavy sound that defined Ramazzotti's career in the early '90s, making it an essential addition for collectors of European pop and melodic rock.
