Born from the mandated cancellation of his 2021 Royal Albert Hall residency, this stunning release captures an authentic, close-knit performance captured at England’s Cowdray House. Joined by longtime collaborators Nathan East, Steve Gadd, and Chris Stainton, Clapton delivers a powerful, mostly acoustic set that serves as a spiritual successor to his iconic 1992 Unplugged session.
The performance features 17 tracks, blending blues standards, country, and original classics with a fresh, organic perspective. While the session maintains an unplugged atmosphere, three tracks branch out into electric arrangements, showcasing Clapton at his most expressive. With his wife Melia—the "Lady in the Balcony"—serving as the sole observer, this is more than a concert; it is a raw, masterful, and deeply human musical exchange.
