Released in 2010 on E Works Records, End Times is the eighth studio album by American rock outfit Eels. Self-produced by frontman Mark Oliver Everett ("E"), this deeply personal record serves as the centerpiece of a conceptual trilogy exploring lust, loss, and redemption—positioned between 2009’s Hombre Lobo and 2010’s Tomorrow Morning.
Centering on themes of divorce, heartbreak, and abandonment, End Times is a bare, intimate, and raw song cycle capturing the haunting reality of isolation. Stripping down the instrumentation into sparse, tender arrangements, Everett delivers an emotionally poignant and darkly humorous reflection on love coming to an end. The physical release features distinctive cover artwork by celebrated cartoonist Adrian Tomine.
