De|Phazz – Death By Chocolate
Dive into the sophisticated, laid-back soundscapes of De|Phazz with their seminal third studio album, Death By Chocolate. A hallmark of the Heidelberg-based collective, this record masterfully weaves together lounge jazz, lazy breakbeats, and trip-hop infused strings to create an atmosphere that is both sleek and distinctively soulful.
Death By Chocolate captures the group’s eclectic spirit, balancing refined downtempo experimentation with surprising Latin-inspired flourishes and refreshing reggae-jazz crossovers. Much like the work of Air or Fila Brazillia, the album offers a sprawling yet intimate listening experience, perfect for late-night grooves and chillout sessions.
Key Highlights:
- Genre: Downtempo / Lounge / Trip-Hop
- Vibe: Idly soulful, atmospheric, and highly musical.
