Set sail on a nautical heavy metal adventure with Crusade Of Bards and their 2019 debut album, Tales Of Bards And Beasts, released via Pride & Joy Music. Hailing from Madrid, this symphonic power metal outfit merges swashbuckling pirate lore and monstrous sea legends with theatrical symphonies and rapid power-metal gallops.
Across a tight 38-minute runtime, the album features the operatic lead vocals of Captain Eleanor Tenebre juxtaposed with gritty, harsh vocal growls. Enhanced by rich synth orchestrations, driving basslines, and classical cello accompaniment, the release delivers dramatic arrangements from start to finish. Highlight tracks include the melodic sea-faring anthem "The Golden Vessel" and the dynamic, riff-driven "An Ocean Between Us – Part I – Chapter Twelve."
