Unearth a long-lost chapter of desert rock history with Jacoozzi, the atmospheric and spontaneous solo project from Brant Bjork.
Originally conceived in 2010 as a series of drum improvisations, Jacoozzi was shelved for nine years before finally being unearthed by Heavy Psych Sounds in 2019. This record serves as a rare, intimate look at Bjork’s creative process, capturing raw jams rather than the structured, riff-heavy compositions typically associated with the desert rock legend.
Fans of his classic debut, Jalamanta, will appreciate the loose, experimental, and unpretentious nature of these sessions. Moving away from traditional stoner rock tropes, Bjork layers his trademark groove with fresh textures, incorporating unexpected dub, blues, and Latin influences across these instrumental movements.
Key Highlights:
- A Pure Jam Session: A stripped-down, atmospheric collection that showcases the foundation of the Brant Bjork sound.
- Experimental Vibe: Features a focus on rhythm and groove, blending funk and jazz sensibilities into the desert rock ethos.
- A True Collector's Item: A must-have for devoted fans, offering a unique, fly-on-the-wall perspective of an artist exploring spontaneous creation.
Experience the legend in his most relaxed, improvisational state. Add this essential piece of the Brant Bjork catalog to your collection today.
