Originally released in 1975, Sabotage captures the band at a creative crossroads. Recorded at Morgan Studios during a period of intense legal turmoil, the album saw the group deliberately moving away from the orchestral experimentation of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath to return to a harder, "rock" sound. Critics at Rolling Stone famously heralded it as potentially their "best record ever," and it remains the final installment of the legendary "First Six" albums that defined the genre.
