Ben Marc delivers a compelling solo debut with Glass Effect, released in 2022 via Innovative Leisure. Drawing on a rich musical background spanning jazz and classical training at Trinity College London, Marc constructs an evocative and genre-bending sonic landscape that defies easy categorization.
Hypnotic, oblique, and atmospheric, Glass Effect effortlessly melds jazz, house, classical, and electronic textures with instrumental hip-hop sensibilities. Driven by deep electronic jams, glitching rhythms, and Marc's signature bass work, the album navigates subtle electronic drifts and rushes in a masterful exploration of sonic calm.
