Step into the realm of high-fantasy metal with Battlelore’s 2007 studio masterpiece, Evernight. Released via Napalm Records, this pivotal album marked a significant transition for the Finnish quintet as they evolved their signature "Tolkien-core" sound, moving toward a darker, more atmospheric direction.
Recorded at Music Bros Studios with producer Miitri Aaltonen following their 2006 Wacken Open Air appearance, Evernight is widely regarded by fans and critics as the band's strongest work since Sword's Song. While the band draws deep inspiration from J.R.R. Tolkien’s legendarium and medieval literature, this release features a deliberate artistic shift, moving away from explicit naming of Tolkien’s characters and places to cultivate their own unique fantasy world.
Key Highlights:
- Cinematic Production: A polished, heavy sound featuring thick, meaty guitar tones that stand apart from traditional power metal.
- Fan-Favorite Tracks: Includes the standout single "House of Heroes," which helped propel the band to wider international recognition.
- Thematic Depth: A dark, immersive listening experience that captures the essence of epic fantasy through harsh, emotive vocals and melodic instrumentation.
Don't miss your chance to own this essential piece of Finnish metal history in this rare Limited Edition CD format.
