The trilogy concludes with a sonic bulldozer.
German death metal legends Atrocity return with Okkult III, the massive grand finale to their ambitious Okkult album trilogy. Released via Massacre Records, this record sees the band firing on all cylinders, delivering a crushing, organic, and atmospheric death metal experience that explores the darkest corners of humanity, obscure historical stories, and mankind's worst nightmares.
Produced by Alexander Krull, Okkult III combines a wall-of-sound guitar approach with punchy, detailed production. The album features a haunting, layered intensity, further elevated by grim choirs, keyboard sections, and a stellar lineup of guest vocalists including Elina Siirala (Leaves’ Eyes), Zoë Marie Federoff (Catalyst Crime, Cradle of Filth), Robse Dahn (Equilibrium), and Misstiq.
Key Highlights:
- Genre: Death Metal
- Standout Tracks: "Desecration of God," "Born to Kill," and the chilling "Malicious Sukkubus."
- Thematic Focus: Dark humanity, witchcraft, conspiracy theories, and supernatural folklore.
- Art Direction: Striking cover artwork by Stefan Heilemann.
Whether you are a long-time fan or a newcomer to the band’s technical yet catchy sound, Okkult III is a commanding return to form that serves as a worthy conclusion to a decade-long saga.
