Marking their seventh studio milestone, Atreyu returns with In Our Wake, released via Spinefarm Records in 2018. This album captures the band evolving their signature sound, blending melodic sensibilities with the heavy, tectonic percussion long-time fans expect.
In Our Wake showcases the powerful vocal interplay between Alex Varkatzas and Brandon Saller, supported by the melodic guitar work of Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel. From the confident, soaring hooks of the title track to the progressive rock elements found in "House of Gold," the album explores new sonic textures while maintaining the band's identity.
Key Highlights:
- Title Track "In Our Wake": A commanding opener featuring impeccable tone and hard-hitting riffs.
- "House of Gold": A dynamic track blending breezy guitar work with complex, winding vocal melodies.
- "Into the Open": Features heavy, driving drums and classic Atreyu-style harmonies.
Whether you have followed Atreyu since their rise in the metalcore scene or are discovering them through this polished, refined era, In Our Wake serves as a significant addition to the band’s discography and is a must-have for any dedicated CD collector.
