Discover a rare and experimental side of the legendary Astor Piazzolla with the 1992 release of A Intrusa Volume III. Originally composed as the soundtrack for a controversial film by Carlos Hugo Christensen, this ANS Records compilation marks the first time the complete score was released under its correct name including all original themes.
Moving beyond traditional nuevo tango, this album showcases Piazzolla’s mastery of atmospheric scoring and avant-garde tension. It captures the composer during his late-70s period, blending the soul of the bandoneón with eerie, reverb-drenched experimentation. This collection is essential for fans wanting to explore Piazzolla's "Borgesian" cinematic legacy.
Key Highlights:
- "Pensamientos": A jazzy, fluid composition that transitions into the haunting, giallo-esque tones of "Espejo."
- "Luna Luna": An atonal, hallucinatory interlude featuring glassy bandoneón textures and echoing pizzicato.
- Historical Significance: Part of the "Original Sound Tracks" series from Miami-based ANS Records.
- Genre: Nuevo Tango, Original Soundtrack, Avant-garde.
Elevate your collection with this evocative soundtrack, a testament to the world's foremost composer of tango music pushing the boundaries of his craft.
