Own a definitive piece of synth-pop history with a-ha’s Trilogy: Three Classic Albums. This Warner Bros. Records box set brings together the three seminal albums that defined the Norwegian trio’s meteoric rise and established them as masters of melodic melancholia: Hunting High and Low, Scoundrel Days, and Stay on These Roads.
Often compared to the likes of Depeche Mode and New Order, a-ha blends Morten Harket’s soaring vocals with Pål Waaktaar-Savoy’s synth-heavy hooks and Magne Furuholmen’s emotive songwriting. This collection traverses their journey from the hook-laden energy of "Take On Me" and the cinematic "The Sun Always Shines on T.V." to the windswept, mature arrangements of their late-80s output.
This Collector’s Edition features:
- Premium Packaging: A hard-back book style case with transparent CD trays.
- Three Essential LPs: Full editions of their debut, sophomore, and third studio albums.
- Vibrant Discs: Color-coded discs in red, mint green, and light grey.
- Iconic Hits: Includes "The Living Daylights," "Cry Wolf," "I've Been Losing You," and "Hunting High and Low."
Whether you are a lifelong fan or a newcomer to their "bright-dark" duality, this trilogy is the perfect entry point into the discography of one of Europe’s most successful and influential pop acts.
